About Us.

What We Do!

At the Uniting Circle Multicultural Community Centre, we are committed to cultivating a welcoming and inclusive environment for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, as well as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our mission is to establish a vibrant space that facilitates connection, resource sharing, and engagement in meaningful educational programs and social services.

As a registered NDIS Provider, we offer tailored support and services to individuals living with disability, empowering them to achieve their goals and participate fully in community life. In addition, our comprehensive Home Care Services are designed to assist older adults and those needing support at home, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.

Who We Are.

At Uniting Circle Multicultural Community Centre, we believe that community engagement and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. Through a diverse array of programs and community events, we aim to foster inclusivity and mutual understanding, celebrating the rich tapestry of cultures that enrich our society.
Our slew of programs cater to the diverse interests and needs of refugees and new arrivals, particularly from Afghanistan. These include communication-promoting language classes, cultural workshops rich in tradition, health and wellness sessions to support physical and mental well-being, and basic computer classes to build technology confidence. We also provide free grocery and clothing donations to relieve pressure during the current cost of living crisis, sewing classes to support future employability, and youth activities that inspire the next generation.

These initiatives not only educate and empower individuals but also honour the diverse cultures that contribute to our growing community in Penrith and the surrounding Local Government Area. They serve as a foundation for unity, resilience, and respect among people of all backgrounds.
We invite you to join us in our commitment to building bridges and strengthening community ties, particularly within the Western Sydney region. Together, we strive to create a harmonious, supportive, and interconnected environment where every culture is valued and every voice is heard.

We have also made mental health and mental well-being as one of the major focus areas for us. We offer therapy, peer support, and social activities that promote peer interaction and combat loneliness. The centre is also an important point of reference for individuals who are seeking information for services and support systems, especially refugees and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who may have specific needs and personal circumstances.

Beyond our programs, we also hold community events, festivals, and cultural celebrations that demonstrate the vibrancy of our diverse communities. Those groupings provide a chance for folks to talk about their practices and their histories, helping to give rise to more regard and familiarity with other cultural groups and a strengthened community.

We do our best to listen to those who reside within the community and intend to make change based on what they need so that even greater and sustainable change may occur. We strive for everyone to have a genuine sense of belonging at the centre and not feel like just a number, but part of a family.
